It was cheap, and I had a place to stay for the night until I drove home the next day.
They had too many homeless drug addicts trying to sleep in thier hall ways.

the hotel carpets were old and dirty, also in our room. the sheets and blankets have cigarets holes. the bed has broken head-bed and wasen't comfortable. there were used towels in the bathroom. the staff have difficulties to solve those problems. finally we left the hotel after 1 night instead of three.

Nothing about the hotel was Good. Chelsea Inn was the worst hotel that I have ever experiened. I travel much so feel I am a bit of an expert. The room was dirty, tatty and needed much tlc. I should have realised when I arrived the reception area was grubby and dirty. According to the the staff the area around the hotel is not safe to walk at night after 1900hrs. It is so basic they do not even provide soap. The room was not cleaned or tidied during my 3 night stay. The bed was not made or curtains opened. (I had left early some morings) The noise from the next rooms is almost like some on talking in the same room. I heared from other people in Anchorage that they had spken to other tourists and they had stated that it was so poor. A store owner in Anchorage stated that they had heard that it was a poor hotel and I should move out. The hotel would not refund any money. Best regards Connell
